In response, the UNESCO-IOC Tsunami Resilience Section (TRS) aims to develop a comprehensive and integrated Tsunami Early Warning and Mitigation System Programme Key Performance Monitoring and Tracking Knowledge Information Tool/ Platform.This tool aspires to provide a unified framework that enhances transparency, facilitates data-driven decision-making, and supports alignment with broader international targets such as the Sendai Framework, the Ocean Decade, and the Early Warning for All initiative.A robust integrated Key Performance Monitoring and Tracking Framework provides a structured and evidence-based approach to assess progress, identify gaps, and guide strategic decision-making. By using clearly defined Key Performance Indicators, stakeholders can measure achievements against set goals, ensure accountability, and drive continuous improvement.This tool will help enhance coordination across agencies, supports timely and targeted interventions, and strengthens transparency in reporting. It also enables alignment with global commitments—such as the Early Warning for All Initiative, the Ocean Decade, and the Sendai Framework—ensuring that efforts are impactful, measurable, and focused on increasing community resilience and safety. The KPIs needs to connect/align in language with related targets and indicators (SDG 13, SDG 11-target 11.b, Sendai Framework, EW4All.
